About Lea
I am a parent, a local business owner, and a child advocate. I am committed to the children of Redwood City to make a positive difference in their future.
My husband and I have three young children all attending Redwood City Schools. We moved to Redwood City over 11 years ago, attracted by the cultural and social diversity of our town, and we are both active members of the community.
In 2006, together with a group of amazing parents and educators, I participated in starting the Redwood City Special Education PTA
(SEPTAR), where I served as board member until this past June.
After the district was unsuccessful in passing an increase of the parcel tax (Measure E), I lead an effort to support Sen. Simitian's bill SCA 6 to decrease the required 2/3 majority to a 55% majority to raise a parcel tax benefitting school districts.
I am running because I believe that our district needs a new voice bringing effective, no-nonsense ideas together with well researched programs.
