About Lea
I am a parent, a local business owner, and a child advocate. I am committed to the children of Redwood City to make a positive difference in their future.
My husband and I have three young children all attending Redwood City Schools. We moved to Redwood City over 9 years ago, attracted by the cultural and social diversity of our town, and we are both active members of the community.
In 2006, together with a group of amazing parents and educators, I participated in starting the Redwood City Special Education PTA
(SEPTAR), where I served as board member until this past June.
After the district was unsuccessful in passing an increase of the parcel tax (Measure E), I lead an effort to support Sen. Simitian's bill SCA 6 to decrease the required 2/3 majority to a 55% majority to raise a parcel tax benefitting school districts.
I am running because I believe that our district needs a new voice bringing effective, no-nonsense ideas together with well researched programs.
